Robert Johnson Is Poisoned

1938 August 13 – Robert Johnson is poisoned at the Three Forks mercantile store outside (53) Greenwood where he is playing. He’s initially taken to Tush Hogg’s house on the Star of the West plantation, right next to Three Forks. When he does not get better he is brought back to the house in which he was staying in Baptist Town (the Black section of Greenwood).
